Mudeford is located to the west of the south English coast. It is a harbour side and beach side town, based on a former fishing village in the east of Christchurch, Dorset, just 3 miles away. Historically, it used to be in the county of Hampshire. It is surrounded by two bodies of water – Christchurch Harbour and Avon Beach. Bournemouth is 7 miles west of Mudeford.

The Beach Huts are accessible from the west by foot, bike or land train from Hengistbury Head car park, if travelling by car. From the east, a passenger ferry runs between Mudeford Quay and Christchurch Quay, where the beach huts can be accessed.
The huts are a bit of a mission to get to with all your belongings for the day or a few day’s stay, but it’s worth it. If you have a lot to get to the hut, there is a Landrover with a trailer for use – book in advance on 01202 425517.

Hut 94 Mudeford Spit, known as Ar Lan Y More, is a modern hut with stunning views over Mudeford Quay and The Priory. Open the french doors, and the views will be mesmerising. It has a super king size comfortable bed with two singles in the mezzanine. Downstairs there are two three quarter size pull out beds.
Complete with hot running water, a four ring gas cooker and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, TV with Freeview, several USB charging points (12 volts only) and DAB radio with Bluetooth. Outside is an 8-seater picnic table, lounge chairs, Weber charcoal BBQ and a cool box for the all-important ice-cold drinks! The shared toilets and shower block with hot water are very close by.

Hen Hut Beach Hut in Mudeford
Imagine going for a swim in the sea from one side of your beachfront beach hut. One the other, a sunset stroll along the harbour…
Hen Hut is the idyllic beach glamping family experience. The space is perfect for a large family or two couples but can squeeze up to eight people to sleep. One bedroom joins one double bed with a single upstairs, with a sofa bed in the living area. There is a small kitchen with four ring gas hob and oven, a kettle, cooking basics, dishes and cutlery. Limited hot water is available and may need refilling during your stay. A communal toilet with hot showers is just a minute walk away.

In 2021, at the height of the staycation boom, one of the finest located huts on Mudeford Sandspit went up for sale for £575,000! Wow! In 2022, for a beach hut that doesn’t face the sea, there was a price tag of £450,000 for this ultra modern hut.
