Adelaide’s Beach Clubs show off their true summer vibes as they pop up all along the coastline this summer. With chilled tunes, locally produced foodie experiences and cocktails to kick back and soak in the glowing sunset, here are the best pop-up beach bars and clubs around Adelaide:
A firm favourite, The Moseley spills out from Moseley square onto the sand with this gorgeous European and South Asian themed beach club. Free to enter, this is the largest and most popular Adelaide beach bar in the heart of Glenelg; Adelaide’s instaworthy tourist destination.
Hire a day bed or single sunbed for the afternoon or evening session as you enjoy waitress service throughout. More of a socialite? Book a beach booth and take 6 – 12 people to enjoy this club session with table service. A booking deposit is required for these experiences, but the full amount is redeemable off the final bill.
The Moseley Beach Club is the only beach bar in South Australia where you can stay on the sand, being served drinks until after sunset. Their saying really is true, ‘Life’s better at the beach’!
Free entry is available for those wishing to casually dine with sand between your toes and a kids zone nearby helps keep the little sea monsters entertained.
Relax and sip on one of their signatures cocktails; The Moseley Coco Loco served in true coconut style or the Pine For You in a freshly carved out pineapple. Their list of cocktails is temptingly good, with each and every one worth tasting. There is also a good range of beers, wines and soft drinks available.
The food on offer is enough to tickle anyone’s sandy taste buds, with themed Cuban Sandwiches, Beach Burgers, Vego Loco Mocos, Tuna Poke Bowls and kids options on the menu.
Every Saturday, find your inner zen with a free beach yoga session at 9 am. If drinking sparkling Prosecco is more your ideal nirvana, have Brunch On The Beach, only available one Sunday per month.
For 2021, The Moseley Beach Club is open to the public from 11 am until 11 pm daily, and runs until Sunday 21st March 2021.
This Mediterranean themed beach club takes you on a journey to Portugal – somewhere you can travel to in 2021! Brought to you by the popular, award-winning Hortas Restaurant, this is Adelaide’s beach bar of the South!
Foodies will love the delicious food inspired by Portuguese owner, Filipe, with mouth-watering cocktails and locally sourced beer and wine accompanying this dining experience.
Cabana Club’s mini-me is Cabana Beach. Enjoy the umbrellas’ shade over the sunbeds and beach chairs available, but get there quick, as it is first in, best dressed. Food and drinks are served straight to you as you take in the magnificent views of Port Noarlunga beach, reef and jetty.
Open from midday until 7 pm daily until Tuesday 26th January 2021, then every weekend until the end of February 2021.
Whilst this bar may not be directly on the beach, it’s pretty close! As a regular summer pop-up in Christies Beach it’s popular with locals, especially on a balmy night. Live music and DJs fill the air with entertainment, whilst the bar serves refreshing cocktails and cool drinks throughout the day. Watch out for the odd food truck also making an appearance.
